On Digital Violence & Online Abuse: A Mini-Zine

Image description: An organized stacked pile of Karina’s zine, “On Digital Violence & Online Abuse.”

I’ve been thinking about digital violence a lot lately. I’ve been writing & posting about it over on Instagram, where folks shared this conversation was desperately needed. There are so many survivors who have experienced abuse, stalking, & harassment online; violence that is often dismissed.

Earlier this week, I decided I wanted to start a zine series, “On Digital Violence & Online Abuse,” to talk about this more, to remind folks that abuse, violence, & stalking that takes place on the Internet is still abuse - & it’s not okay!

Abuse, violence, & stalking that takes place on the Internet is still abuse - & it’s not okay!

I want to write more about this but it’s hard, especially as a survivor who is experiencing this re-traumatization on a regular basis. &/also I think these stories should be, & can really only be told by, fellow survivors. If you haven’t experienced it, you have no idea what it’s like (&/also holding space for nuance in how survivors experience violence differently because of systemic oppression.)

In the mean time, here are a few photos 🥰

If you’d like this zine, you can buy it on Etsy or reach out to me about trading zines 💗
