We need each other. We need each other to survive, to heal, & to thrive.
This card makes me think of how we heal in community, not in isolation. I think about the power of community care, caring for & supporting one another, as a necessary antidote to living in a hyper-individualistic culture that tells us if we try hard enough, we can self-care our way out of/through PTSD. The truth is, self-care isn’t enough for many of us; it’s only part of the picture.
I’m reminded that I can’t do this journey alone, as much as I might want to at times.
